Application and Methodology
The Independent Thermoelectric Gaseous Sampler draws ambient air through impinger solutions housed within a thermoelectrically controlled chamber. The built-in Peltier system brings the internal temperature down by 6–10°C relative to ambient, and can maintain this controlled environment continuously for 24 hours of uninterrupted cooling or heating.
This precise thermal control keeps the chemical reagents used to capture gaseous pollutants effective and stable, minimizing evaporation losses and preventing degradation of the collected sample. A dedicated high-power 10 LPM sampling motor draws the air sample, while a flow control needle valve and flow meter allow the operator to set and monitor the sampling flow accurately. An internal impinger stand keeps the impingers steady throughout the sampling run, and the closed-loop, leak-proof enclosure reduces the risk of external contamination.
